The race to be known as Australia’s “start-up state” might be won, literally, by North Queensland should independent MP Rob Katter’s idea to spin the area out from its parent ever get up. Until it does, however, the government of Queensland-as-we-know-it is being almost as original in its bid to be a hub for fast-growing businesses.
